MWCC is launching a She Rides program in 2021 to get more women and girls riding bikes. The program will initially focus on MTB and Cyclocross skills development to get more women participating in the best sport there is – riding bikes!

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Our She Rides – MTB will be a multi-session program designed to progress those trail skills needed for offroad riding. Fiona Dick from Chocololate Foot MTB will be leading these sessions. Separate sessions will be open for girls (u18) and women. Key components to the course will include body position and weight transfer, braking and cornering, choosing lines and mastering drops. Think of it as a fundamentals session.

She Rides MTB –
Fundamentals for Teens

For teens we will run individual 3-hour sessions from 1:00-4:00pm. Cost is $25 per session. Meet at Ararat Reserve, Bantry Bay Rd, Frenchs Forest.
Come to one or all of them, you can choose. Beginners welcome!
These sessions are run on the day by Fiona from Chocolate Foot MTB Coaching.

She Rides MTB – Women’s Weekday Skills and Ride

For adults we will run a 4 week course that is 1.5 hours on a Wednesday 11:00am-12:30pm. Cost is $80 in total for the 4 sessions. Meet at Ararat Reserve, Bantry Bay Rd, Frenchs Forest.

Targeted to beginner female riders and those wanting to refine the basics and ensure good technique. Each week will start with a skill component followed by a trail ride. These sessions are run on the day by Fiona from Chocolate Foot MTB Coaching.
