After the success and demand from our last training day, thanks to WD40 Bikes our club sponsor, we will be hosting another training day for children of all abilities and ages on April 9. This is a chance for them to learn some life skills from coaches and experienced cyclists.

Whether your child is just starting out on a balance bike or is confident on their BMX bike this day will provide suitable training with the group sizes limited and groups arranged on ability and age. The group sizes are limited to 12 children per section to ensure that each child receives the attention they require. On previous days we have had young children on balance bikes, children with their training wheels still on and those who were confident riding around by themselves. This day aims to improve their skills based on their current level.

mwcc-cx-14jun14-2030Skills such as learning to corner properly, correct braking technique, working on their balance and stop/start skills will all be taught to the children to give them greater confidence and enjoyment when out riding. This day may also be the spring board into your child showing an interest in junior racing which starts at U/9 level or even just increased confidence on the bike which may make the commute to school easier. If they have an interest in racing, MWCC has racing bikes that can be loaned out to members along with a MWCC jersey. To ensure that all children are catered for and we have the correct number of coaches the group sizes are limited. To guarantee your space, please book via the Trybooking website – price of the day is $5. This cost covers part of the costs associated with hiring the fields, coaches and the BBQ and drinks at the end of the day.Children will be required to have their own bicycle and helmet on the day 3Details
