Congratulations to our TT Club Champions Brad Bannister and Laura Cameron.
Bonus for Dylan George smashing the 1-lap course record by 3.5 minutes!
Racing is back on (for Covid vaccinated people) and it’s time to race against the clock in our last West Head Time Trial for 2021. This one is all about how fast you can go on Sunday 7th November and is packed with fantastic prizes. Enter now via Buncheur and entries close on Thursday 4th November at 8pm.
Thanks to our event sponsor 99 Bikes who are offering up a $6000 new bike for one lucky person! Each race entry and volunteer shift you do across the five TT events this year will give you one entry into the prize draw.
Plus this will double as the MWCC TT Club Championship. Who is the fastest against the clock for 2021?
Our West Head course will host 2 distances this month: 1 lap (25km) and 2 laps (45km) on the hallowed West Head tarmac. Set a time, beat it, repeat. Race your mate to see who’s shouting coffee. All riders from any AusCycling club are welcome. Since you are racing the clock, all levels of experience are suitable. Your bike choice is up to you, so roadie or TT can put you on the start line. Time to set yourself a benchmark.
If you choose to race it as a team, all riders must individually enter and then, email us directly with names in your team for us to allocate you a team start. email@example.com
The start/finish line and presentation area is located at the Elvina Walking Track Car park on West Head Road. Which for first timers is located about 1.5km along West Head Road on the right hand side. Please do not park in the Elvina Walking Track car park – this not only assists our marshalls when they head up there to set up for the finish, but also assists with our relations with the National Parks. This gives riders more room while waiting to start.
MWCC categories will depend on entry numbers but should be your usual grade. A and B men plus Masters 40+ do two laps. All others do 1 lap. We will have a trophy for fastest male and female!
This event will be conducted in accordance with a Covid safe plan. Currently all entrants must be double Covid vaccinated. Competitors will be briefed prior to the event on changes to our usual event to ensure the safety of competitors and volunteers. All competitors, volunteers and spectators must sign into the Service NSW Covid Safe Check-in at the race desk, therefore please bring your mobile phone for quick and easy check-in.
Entry Fee: $30 Adults & $10 Juniors– with a current Race or Lifestyle licence from AusCycling. ENTER HERE
