The next round of the Subaru Cyclocross is upon us. After a record breaking turnout in round one, we once again promise a day of excitement and adrenaline filled bike racing. With the free kids racing from 1:30pm this is an afternoon of adventure. See you on the startline.

The Subaru Cyclocross series offers riders plenty of twists and turns on this course, with every round having a different layout and structure. So you are never just racing the same course over and over again. But don’t worry, you will still have stairs, ramps and barriers to navigate – no matter what lunacy the course designers come up with.

There are plenty of spot prizes from various companies that will keep you on your toes and potentially make it a very rewarding day for yourself.

Just like our road races at West Head, we are now offering riders the chance to jump the queues and guarantee their starting position with our online entry. Simply head over to and pre enter. This will allow you to not have to worry about fumbling around for money on the day, simply turn up and grab your racing number. The online entry system, also allows you to enter if you require a day licence. The online entries will close off at 5pm on Friday June 26. After that time, you will just be required to enter on the day with the entry priced at $20.

MWCC is all about inclusion and so we have two free junior races on the day starting at 1:30pm. The kids will even pin on a race number to give them the whole race experience. Racing on a modified course, that always has them in sight, we have a race for Under 7 at 1:30pm and then a separate race for 7-12 year olds at 1:45pm. We have kids on tricycles, balance bikes, bmx bikes and mountain bikes. We don’t care about their ability or bike – we just want them out on course having fun. This opportunity is open to all children – their parents do not have to be members or racing themselves.

After we have witnessed the determination of the kids riding around the course, the next race is for all types of bikes, whether it be a single speed, mountain bike, commuter or even a cyclocross bike. This race is for those that are new to the cyclocross scene and want to see what all the madness is about. It is also suitable for those that want to race a cyclocross bike, yet aren’t quite up to the Elite standard. Race starts 2:00pm.

The final race is the Elite race (race starts 3:00pm) and this is restricted to CX bikes only. Watch the experienced riders race around the course, simply jumping barriers that others have had to step over and if they do dismount, watch the speed of the dismount and remount.

The location at JJ Melbourne Memorial Hills Reserve, Terrey Hills provides for plenty of viewing opportunities, with the riders regularly passing by the more popular viewing points.
