The Northern Sydney Cycling Club is hosting the annual Rob Hodgson Memorial Crit Race on November 20. A superb morning of racing to remember a great rider. While the Elite race is full, there is still an opportunity to enter the B and C grade races and the Women’s race.

For those who did know Rob he epitomised the true cycling champion. He was not about the latest carbon wheels, top end gear or being the first up Bobbo. He rode with his heart and passion but he did it as a club man. He would support anyone and anything club related. He was certainly no slouch breaking the long standing TT record and racing successfully in Europe.

Most of all he would never say a bad thing about anyone and would always be there to support the club.

He lost his battle with cancer but he never lost our thoughts and is always an inspiration.

So get yourself on the start line for this classic morning of racing. Entries are being taken online because we are expecting sell out fields on the day. Enter via

A flat course, this certainly creates fast racing along Beaumont Road and the Rob Hodgson races are renowned for their aggressive races. It is a morning that suits the spectators and you can get comfortable with the coffee cart in attendance.

Big crowds, top level prizes, fast racing – nothing more to ask of a Sunday morning. We are expecting a large MWCC contingent across the grades, so don’t miss your opportunity to represent MWCC or cheer us on from the sidelines.
