Throughout 2017, MWCC will have two boutique tour groups heading to Europe to ride the best roads that Italy and France have to offer. Both Tours provide quality accommodation, varied ride routes to suit all level of riders and both tours offer options for non riding partners to come along and enjoy the experience. Whether you want to ride the Italian Dolomites and famed climbs such as the Stelvio or cheer on your favourite riders at the Tour De France, MWCC is ready to get you there in style.

Both of these Tours are suitable for riders who want to test themselves or are up for a bit of a challenge. Don’t worry if you aren’t the strongest rider because all of the main climbs are completed at your own pace. Most days offer a variety of ride routes so that riders can either go long or just have a short spin around town and then relax in a cafe. We want to help you with your passion for cycling by making our Tours as memorable as possible.

All Tours have set rest days in them, you can ride as little or as much as you want on both trips. There is no pressure to ride your bike everyday, we know that some riders may want to take a side trip to a local winery or get fitted for some Italian fabrics. All of our Tours are set up so that non riding partners are welcome to come along and join the trip and we already have 4 confirmed non riders for our France July Trip. Riders do not have to be members of MWCC to participate.

MWCC Tours are not just for A Grade or Elite riders, in fact the majority of our riders who undertake these tours aren’t racing riders. So don’t think that our travel tours are set up for future or imaginery pro riders, although nothing is stopping you from letting your imagination run wild as you climb the Montirolo or Alp D’Huez even if you are travelling at a pace just above walking. By coming on one of our Tours you are giving yourself the opportunity to ride some of cyclings most famous roads, while also making new friendships and tackling new challenges and finding new coffee stops.

All of our Tour leaders have multiple Tours under their belts and the majority of the rides have been pre ridden and the Hotels tested. We aim to make these Tours as easy as possible for you, so everyday you can focus on enjoying your riding and the countryside that you pass by. All days will have routes that are pre determined that you will be able to pre load onto your garmin and review on Strava prior to departure.

We ensure that once in a region, you will get to tackle all of the nearby famous climbs but we also take you on some of the lesser known gems in the area. This comes from our ride leaders having previous experience riding in the area.

Once you are back at your hotel for the afternoon or evening, we have pre arranged restaurant options. This takes away unnecessary stresses allowing you to recover for the next days enjoyment.

All of our Tours are limited in size to ensure that you get a personal, private feel within the trip and to ensure that group sizes on the rides are manageable.

France – July 2017

This Tour is being led by Andy Hellmich of Central Coast CC fame. Following on from the success of the 2016 Tour which was a sell out event, ‘Hellman’ has been re-signed to lead the journey through the south of France as riders and their partners enjoy the breath taking beauty of the Alps while also taking in the biggest show in town – the Tour De France.

The trip is three and a half weeks and riders spend time in the Alps, Lake Annecy, Provence and the Pyrenees. With any trip that takes in the Alps and the Pyrenees, riders will know that they will be travelling through some of the greatest cycling areas of France, roads that are etched into the foundations of cycling history and you will get the opportunity to become part of that folklore.

The exact dates and routes for this trip have not yet been confirmed and will not be confirmed until the route for the 2017 Tour De France is announced. This is because the Tour will take in and follow a number of the stages in the Tour. With the focus being on the dramatic mountain stages of the TdF.

With five Tours under his belt, Hellman will ensure that the most appropriate stages are chosen to spectate, to ensure that riders go deep into the crowds and get up close and personal with the likes of Froome, Porte and Quintana. The riders will be able to form a special bond with the riders having previously ridden the same roads as the pros.

At this stage, riders will be looking at an early July departure date. The cost of the three and a half week tour is approx $6,500AU (depending on exchange rates) and all inclusive – international and internal flights, meals, accommodation, car and van hire, fuel… everything. We want to take any of the stress and make this trip as easy as possible for you. The other not so secret benefit of this Tour is that our ride leader also happens to be a professional photographer, so your rides are captured in spectacular fashion for the duration of the trip.

If you want to ride in France and see some of the Tour, then this is the smoothest and most enjoyable way to do it. Anyone interested in our France 2017 Tour offering can contact Andrew at for more info.

The Tour is capped at 22 participants and we currently have 14 confirmed.
