With restrictions being relaxed from July onwards, MWCC and Garigal Gorillas are excited to bring back our Kids Holiday Skills Days for July 8 and 15.

A fun day of bike activities designed for children aged between 8 and 12 years with a qualified coach. Now with our Covidsafe plan in place. Remember to keep your social distancing and don’t send kids if they are sick.

Session is 9am to 3pm. Drop off from 8.30am, pickup by 3.30pm sharp if it helps you squeeze in a workday.
– Skills: cornering, stopping, climbing, descending, jumping, balance
– Helmet fitting
– Bike care / Maintenance – chain lube, basic tuning gears

Ability required

Each child must be able to ride a bike at a competent level. Not a learn-to-ride day. This is a skills development day.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q : Do I get a discount if I book in more than 1 child

A: The fee is subsidised by Manly Warringah Cycling Club and the cost is the same for multiple attendees.

Q: I’m interested in sending my child, but they don’t ride a bike, can I still send them?
A: All children need a basic level of riding

Q: What kind of activities will my kids learn at the camp?
A: We try to make the camps as enjoyable as possible while also teaching the kid’s cycle skills including cornering, stopping, climbing, descending, jumping, balancing. We will also cover correct Helmet fitting, maintenance and how to fix a flat tyre.

Q: How do you separate the kids?
A: We do our best to make sure the groups are organised to suit the variety of ages and abilities. Our Coaches run successful kids training during summer with the same mix of ages and abilities!

Q: Can I register for both days?
A: The plan is that both days are the same so it is probably not worth your child attending both days.
